Overview
Confidential Client is hiring an Outside Sales Representative to manage and grow accounts across Atlantic and Cape May County, NJ. This territory role focuses on customer relationship development, new business acquisition, and achieving sales and profit targets. Selected candidates are expected to begin with the next sales class on August 17th.
What You’ll Do
This is an outside, territory sales role. Typical responsibilities include:
- Develop new business and penetrate existing accounts to achieve profitable sales growth within the assigned territory.
- Prospect, qualify, and follow up on leads according to account stratification goals.
- Research customer needs and recommend product and service mixes that deliver value.
- Monitor market trends, product innovations, competitor activity, and share relevant insights with customers.
- Provide product information and hands-on training to customer staff as needed.
- Respond to customer questions about product availability, pricing, and usage.
- Drive a personal vehicle to customer accounts, industry events, and company meetings.
- Coordinate with internal teams (credit, transportation, operations) to manage accounts receivable, deliveries, and order exceptions.
- Prepare sales quotes, menu suggestions, budgets, and regular sales reports.
- Participate in promotions, customer events, team meetings, and ongoing sales training.
- Support onboarding/training of new sales employees when requested.
- Perform other duties as assigned to meet territory and company goals.
Qualifications
Required (one of the following):
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Hospitality, Culinary Arts, or related discipline OR
- High school diploma/GED plus 3 years’ experience in Restaurant Management, B2B or outside sales, or equivalent relevant experience (completion of a sales internship is considered relevant).
Preferred:
- Bilingual ability (Spanish or other languages) is a plus.
- Prior restaurant management, foodservice outside sales, or chef experience preferred.
Certificates / Licenses:
- Valid driver’s license with a driving record that meets company insurability standards.
- Current automobile insurance that meets company-required limits.
Requirements:
- Ability to pass employment testing and background checks as required.
- Willingness to sign the Confidential Client Protective Covenants Agreement (or equivalent).
- Reside in or be willing to relocate to the geographical vicinity of the territory.

- Estimated base pay: $58,782 per year (estimated).

Location & Schedule
- Territory: Atlantic and Cape May County, New Jersey (based in Atlantic City area).
- This outside-sales role requires regular travel within the assigned territory and may require some non-traditional hours (evenings, weekends, holidays) to meet customer needs.
