Role overview

This Sales Order Administrator (Level 1) role supports AOG (Aircraft On Ground) and standard customer order processing for a Confidential Client in the aerospace & defense / aircraft interiors space. You will manage order entry, coordinate with cross‑functional teams (IPT, Contracts, Accounting, Shipping, AR) and be a primary point of contact for customer order inquiries and escalations.


What You’ll Do

  • Ensure sales orders are entered accurately and in a timely manner using the company ERP system
  • Partner with the Integrated Project Team (IPT) to confirm order correctness and delivery dates
  • Validate order information against customer purchase orders and update order changes
  • Maintain a PO-entry tracker to give visibility to Contracts and Accounting teams
  • Review aging reports weekly and provide updates to Accounts Receivable on past‑due accounts
  • Prioritize and expedite AOG orders to ensure on‑time shipment
  • Manage inbound customer emails, follow up, and escalate issues to management when needed
  • Coordinate internally with operations, logistics, and service teams to resolve order issues
  • Support RMAs and claims processing as required
  • Perform other duties consistent with the level of the administrator and business needs

Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Experience: 2–3 years of data entry, order entry, or customer support experience (entry‑level hires considered with relevant exposure)
  • Systems: Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word; basic ERP/MRP experience preferred
  • Accounting: Basic accounting knowledge helpful for aging reports and AR coordination
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; customer‑facing professionalism
  • Other: Strong attention to detail, prioritization, multi‑tasking, and problem‑solving skills; ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Working Conditions & Additional Info

  • Employment type: Full‑time (may be part‑time or temporary depending on business needs)
  • Schedule: Willingness to work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays as needed
  • Travel: Some travel may be required
  • Relocation: May be required to relocate to another Confidential Client facility in the future
  • Language: Fluent English required
  • ITAR: This position is not ITAR‑controlled (U.S. citizenship/permanent residency not required per source)

Compensation & Location

  • Pay range: $19.05 - $29.94 per hour (approx. $40,870/year estimated) — posted range from the hiring data feed
  • Job location: Stanton / Garden Grove area, CA (ZIP 92841) — candidates should be able to work on site as required
