What You’ll Do
This is an entry-level Sales and Operations Management Trainee role supporting a confidential client in the logistics & warehouse sector. You’ll receive hands-on training across sales, operations, finance, customer service and technology while working on the front lines of fleet and customer operations. Expect a fast-paced environment where you’ll develop business solutions, manage vehicle inventory, and support both consumer and commercial accounts.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop customer solutions for local and national accounts (including enterprise/Fortune 500 customers).
- Manage a large vehicle fleet—balance productivity, profitability and customer satisfaction.
- Generate new business leads and nurture existing customer relationships.
- Deliver excellent customer service in a high-volume environment.
- Participate in training and mentoring programs to accelerate into management roles.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; Business or Marketing concentration preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Internship or prior customer-facing experience is preferred.
- Results-oriented with strong attention to detail and time-management skills.
- Valid driver’s license required and willingness to operate company vehicles (including 26' box trucks).
- Regular, predictable attendance is an essential function of this job.
Driver / DOT & Safety Requirements
This position involves driving company and customer vehicles and is regulated by the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT). Candidates must be able to meet and maintain a driver qualification file, which includes:
- Annual Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check.
- Successfully completed DOT physical exam.
- Safety Performance History records request from prior employers (last 3 years).
- CDL holders: DOT drug screening within 30 days of hire and FMCSA Clearinghouse review.
- Background investigation (employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening may be required.
- Must be able to work in a constant state of alertness and follow safety procedures.
Physical & Work Conditions
- Regular activities include standing, walking, sitting, handling objects, and occasional lifting up to 25 lbs (12 kg).
- Visual requirements include close, distance, peripheral vision and depth perception.
