What You’ll Do
As a Sales and Operations Management Trainee you will learn to run and grow a transportation and fleet services business through hands-on training across sales, operations, finance, customer service and technology. You will be on a fast track to management by solving customer problems, supporting fleet productivity, and contributing to revenue growth.
- Develop tailored consumer and commercial customer solutions for local and national accounts, including Fortune 500 clients.
- Support fleet and inventory management—balancing productivity, profitability and customer satisfaction.
- Generate new business leads and nurture existing customer relationships.
- Deliver high-quality customer service in a fast-paced environment.
- Participate in ongoing training and mentoring to build skills across sales, operations and business leadership.
- Work flexible schedules (including weekends) and travel within the district for customer visits and training as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required (Business, Marketing, or related concentration preferred).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Internship or customer-facing experience is a plus.
- Results-oriented with strong attention to detail and time-management skills.
- Valid U.S. driver’s license required and willingness to operate company vehicles (including a 26' box truck) as needed.
- Ability to pass background checks, drug screening, and DOT-required driving qualification checks.
- Regular, predictable attendance and the ability to work the required schedule and location.
- Willingness to travel locally within the district for customer visits and training.
Regulatory & Safety Requirements
This role requires driving company and customer vehicles and is regulated by the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT). The selected candidate must maintain a current driver qualification file which may include:
- Annual motor vehicle records (MVR) checks.
- A successful DOT physical exam.
- Safety performance history requests from prior employers (last 3 years).
- CDL holders may be subject to DOT drug screening within 30 days of hire and FMCSA Clearinghouse review.
