Role overview

This entry-level Sales and Operations Management Trainee role in Mendota Heights, MN pays $25.00 per hour and is a full-time, fast-track management development position. As a trainee you will rotate through sales, operations, customer service, finance and technology tasks to build the skills required to run a branch and lead teams.


What You’ll Do

  • Develop tailored solutions for consumer and commercial customers, including local and national accounts.
  • Build new business leads and nurture existing customer relationships to drive revenue.
  • Manage inventory and vehicle fleet to balance productivity, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
  • Deliver excellent customer service in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborate with a driven team and participate in training and mentoring programs.
  • Complete required operational and administrative duties to support branch performance.

Who we’re looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree required (Business, Marketing, or related concentration preferred).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Results-oriented, detail-focused, and good time-management skills.
  • Internship or customer-facing work experience preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to drive company vehicles (including 26' box trucks).
  • Ability to work a required schedule with regular, predictable attendance.

Requirements & regulatory compliance

This role involves driving company and customer vehicles and is regulated by the U.S. Department of Transportation. Candidates selected must maintain a driver qualification file which may include:

  • Annual motor vehicle record (MVR) checks.
  • A successfully completed DOT physical.
  • Safety Performance History records requests from prior employers (last 3 years).
  • CDL holders: DOT drug screening within 30 days of hire and FMCSA Clearinghouse review.
  • Background check (employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening are required.

Physical demands

  • Frequently required to stand, walk, sit and use hands for handling/feeling tasks.

  • The position requires alertness and the ability to work safely around vehicles and equipment.
