Overview

Confidential Client is recruiting for an entry-level Sales and Operations Management Trainee based in Lexington, KY. This is a fast-paced, hands-on management training role in logistics and fleet operations where you'll learn sales, operations, finance, customer service and technology through structured training and on-the-job mentoring. This position requires driving company vehicles and compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.

What You’ll Do

• Develop solutions for consumer and commercial customers — supporting local and national accounts, including large corporate customers.
• Manage fleet inventory and daily operations to balance productivity, profitability and customer satisfaction.
• Generate new business leads and grow existing customer relationships.
• Deliver excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment and solve operational problems quickly.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (sales, operations, finance, technology) and participate in training/mentoring programs to accelerate your management career.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required (preferred concentration in Business or Marketing).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Internship or customer-facing work experience preferred but not required.
• Results-oriented, detail-focused, and effective time-management skills.
• Valid driver’s license required and ability/willingness to drive company vehicles (including 26’ box trucks).
• Ability to lift/move up to 25 lbs occasionally and perform standard physical tasks associated with operations roles.
• Regular, predictable attendance required.

Additional Requirements & Compliance

This role requires driving company and customer vehicles and is regulated by the DOT. Candidates must be able to maintain a driver qualification file which will include:

• Annual motor vehicle record (MVR) check.
• Successful completion of a DOT physical.
• Safety Performance History records request for prior employers (last 3 years).
• For CDL holders: DOT drug screening within 30 days and FMCSA Clearinghouse review as applicable.
• Background investigation (employment, education, criminal history) and drug screening required.
• Willingness to travel within the district for customer yards and training as needed.

These requirements are job-related and consistent with business necessity.

• Pay: $25.00 per hour (as listed by the posting).
