What You’ll Do
As a Sales and Operations Management Trainee working with our confidential client in the Logistics & Warehouse industry, you’ll rotate through core business functions to build a broad management skillset. This is an entry-level, fast-track program designed to prepare you for leadership roles by giving hands-on experience across sales, operations, fleet management, customer service and finance.
- Develop customer-focused solutions for local and national accounts, including commercial and consumer customers.
- Learn fleet and inventory management for nationally recognized vehicles and equipment.
- Generate new business leads and nurture existing customer relationships.
- Ensure exceptional customer service and quick problem resolution in a fast-paced environment.
- Participate in training, mentoring and technology-driven learning to advance your management skills.
Major Responsibilities
- Manage fleet productivity, profitability and customer satisfaction in a dynamic operations environment.
- Support sales processes for consumer and commercial accounts (including large national customers).
- Identify and develop new business opportunities and sustain long-term customer relationships.
- Coordinate cross-functional activities (operations, customer service, finance, technology) to meet business targets.
- Track performance metrics and assist in operational improvements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; Business, Marketing or related concentration preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Internship or customer-facing work experience preferred.
- Results-oriented with strong attention to detail and time-management skills.
- Valid driver’s license required and ability/willingness to operate company vehicles (including 26' box truck) as part of training.
- Regular, predictable attendance is an essential function of this role.
Requirements & Compliance
This role involves driving company and customer vehicles and is regulated by the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT). Hiring steps and ongoing requirements include:
- Maintenance of a driver qualification file (annual MVR check).
- Successful completion of a DOT physical exam.
- Safety Performance History check of prior employers (last 3 years).
- CDL holders: DOT drug screening within 30 days of hire and FMCSA Clearinghouse review where applicable.
- Completion of a standard employment application, background check (employment, education, criminal history) and drug screening as required by the position.
- Willingness to travel within the district for customer sites and training.
Physical Requirements
