What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is seeking a Sales Operations Data Analyst to partner with sales leaders and cross-functional teams to translate data into clear, actionable insights that improve sales performance, customer experience, and operational efficiency.

  • Lead large, ad hoc and planned analytics initiatives from problem definition through insight delivery.
  • Identify analytical opportunities, define business questions, and recommend data-driven actions.
  • Apply advanced analytical and statistical techniques to evaluate trends, performance drivers, customer behavior, and business outcomes.
  • Translate complex analyses into concise, compelling recommendations and executive-ready presentations.
  • Act as a strategic liaison between analytics, technology, and business teams to define requirements and align on objectives.
  • Coordinate and prioritize multiple projects; delegate and mentor junior analysts as appropriate.
  • Extract, analyze, and validate large datasets using SQL and database tools; ensure data integrity and consistency.
  • Build and maintain dashboards and visualizations (e.g., Tableau) to monitor sales performance and KPIs.
  • Present findings to stakeholders at all levels and influence decisions by connecting insights to strategy and operational outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in analytics, business, economics, statistics, or a related field.
  • Strong experience performing business or data analysis in complex, fast-paced environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently lead analytical projects and manage competing priorities.
  • Advanced analytical thinking and problem-solving skills with strong attention to data quality.
  • Proven ability to communicate insights clearly and effectively to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proficiency with SQL and Excel; experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau.

Preferred / Additional Skills

  • Experience applying statistical techniques (regression, segmentation, trend analysis).
  • Experience mentoring or providing informal leadership to junior analysts.
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to connect data to strategy and operational outcomes.
  • Comfortable operating under pressure and adapting quickly to changing priorities.

Compensation & Employment Details

  • Employment type: Full-time
  • Location: Bethesda, MD (onsite or as specified by Confidential Client)
  • Annual salary range: $73,800 - $141,450 (range provided by Confidential Client; final offer considers experience, education, location, and other factors)
  • Sponsorship: At this time, Confidential Client will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position.
