Overview
Confidential Client is hiring for an entry-level Sales & Management Training Program in Little Rock, AR. This accelerated retail management development program prepares participants for a Store Management role within 18–24 months through an initial 8-week training and on-the-job leadership experience. The program emphasizes sales to large commercial customers, store operations, and leadership development to build a long-term career in retail management.
What You’ll Do
This program combines formal classroom training and hands-on store experience. Key responsibilities include:
- Complete the structured 8-week training program and follow ongoing development plans.
- Partner with store leadership to manage day-to-day store operations for a high-volume retail location.
- Support and grow commercial and retail accounts (painting contractors, purchasing agents, manufacturers, etc.).
- Execute sales strategies to increase market share and optimize profitability.
- Deliver high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service and product knowledge.
- Maintain store administration, visual merchandising, and loss-prevention standards.
- Assist with employee training, performance management, and corrective actions.
- Make outside sales calls with Store Manager to develop business relationships and increase commercial sales.
- Estimated schedule: typically 44 hours per week; may include evenings and weekends.
- Estimated pay: $109,835 per year (estimated)
Responsibilities
- Support business strategies to increase sales and profitability.
- Build and maintain product knowledge to make effective customer recommendations.
- Cultivate positive relationships with wholesale and retail customers.
- Maintain outstanding store condition and promotional displays.
- Ensure compliance with policies, safety, loss prevention, and security procedures.
- Respond to and resolve customer and employee concerns professionally.
Qualifications
Minimum requirements (must-have):
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.
- Valid, unrestricted Driver’s License.
- Bachelor’s degree completed by the program start date.
- Able, with or without reasonable accommodation, to retrieve materials from shelves and lift/carry up to 50 lbs frequently and up to 70 lbs occasionally.
Preferred qualifications:
- ≥1 year experience in retail, sales, or customer service.
- ≥1 year experience in leadership, supervising others, or leading teams.
- Experience working in team-oriented settings (work, extracurriculars, military).
- Experience selling paint or paint-related products (helpful, not required).
- Familiarity with timekeeping and/or CRM systems.
- Willingness to relocate for future opportunities.
- Multilingual abilities; Spanish proficiency a plus.
Location & Schedule
- Job location: Little Rock, AR (on-site).
- Typical schedule: ~44 hours/week; evenings and weekends possible.
