About the Role
Confidential Client is hiring for an entry-level Sales Leadership Program based in Salt Lake City, UT. This paid, hands-on development program trains participants to become scrap buyers through field-based sales exposure, market analysis, and customer relationship management within the recycling/metals marketplace. The program combines mentorship, classroom-style and on-the-job training, and significant field time to prepare you for a regional scrap buying role.
What You’ll Do
The Sales Leadership Program trains new hires through a 6–12 month structured development plan. Key responsibilities include:
- Learn the full scrap buying process through paid, hands-on training.
- Model and lead a Safety First culture, including OSHA and site safety programs.
- Build and maintain customer and vendor relationships; provide excellent customer service.
- Conduct market research and communicate regional market forecasts.
- Shadow mentors and operations teams; learn to resolve customer and operational issues.
- Travel frequently and work in field/industrial environments (including outdoor and extreme weather conditions).
- Relocate after training when business needs require (company-paid relocation).
What We’re Looking For
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (preferably Business, Sales, Economics, Finance, or related field).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to build relationships, collaborate, and work both independently and on a team.
- Exceptional organizational skills, customer service orientation, and adaptability.
- Comfortable making confident, timely decisions in the field.
Preferred qualifications:
- Previous leadership, sales, or customer service experience.
- Continuous improvement mindset and creative problem-solving skills.
- Ability to interface effectively with customers and internal teams.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
Pay, Benefits & Career Growth
Visible compensation (as listed by source):
- US$2,625 — US$4,000 per year (salary range provided by the employer).

Location, Travel & Relocation

- Future relocation is required based on business needs; company-paid relocation may place you in one of these markets: Cincinnati, Houston, Kansas City, Louisville, Miami, Orlando, Salt Lake City, St. Louis, Tampa, and other listed locations.
