What You’ll Do

This is a technical, customer-facing engineering role (not a traditional quota-driven sales position). You will evaluate customer operations, diagnose equipment and process issues, and recommend practical, value-driven solutions across parts, service, equipment upgrades, training, and capital projects.

  • Develop a deep understanding of customer manufacturing processes and installed equipment
  • Analyze equipment performance, service history, and operational metrics to find improvement opportunities
  • Recommend replacement parts, upgrades, maintenance programs, and training to improve reliability and throughput
  • Prepare technical proposals, quotations, and ROI-based recommendations
  • Manage opportunities from discovery through implementation and customer follow-up
  • Partner with Engineering, Operations, Service, and Commercial teams to build customer-focused solutions
  • Use CRM and business systems to track opportunities and document customer activity

Ideal Candidate

You may be a recent graduate or early-career engineer who enjoys applying technical skills directly with customers. You are curious, analytical, and motivated to turn technical know-how into measurable business value.

  • You enjoy troubleshooting complex problems and learning how industrial machinery and systems operate
  • You like working directly with customers to influence outcomes and improve operations
  • You focus on continuous improvement, process optimization, and equipment lifecycle management

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Process Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related discipline
  • Strong technical aptitude and structured problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects concurrently
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

Preferred

  • Internship, co-op, or hands-on experience in manufacturing, automation, machinery, or industrial equipment environments
  • Experience with CRM, ERP, Power BI, or similar business systems
  • Exposure to capital equipment, aftermarket services, or technical support functions
