Overview
Confidential Client is seeking an entry-level Sales Development Representative to support rotating territories in central Delaware. This role balances sales and merchandising activities to maximize supplier brand presence at on‑premise and off‑premise accounts. This position is full‑time and includes remote/telecommute flexibility while covering local territory routes.
What You’ll Do
- Call on assigned accounts and cover daily routes with an efficient routing pattern.
- Prepare and deliver professional sales and merchandising presentations, including displays, product placements, promotions, and training.
- Maintain product levels at accounts by taking inventory and restocking where legally allowed.
- Use point-of-sale materials to ensure maximum brand visibility.
- Collect and deliver payments where permissible and manage account receivables (credits/returns).
- Provide customer service — resolving issues or escalating to management when needed.
- Support national account compliance by completing required surveys and maintaining accurate purchase history records.
- Participate in weekly sales meetings and assist Merchandising during high-volume periods.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Location & Territory
- Primary coverage: middle Delaware (Middletown, Dover, Smyrna — applicants from these areas are encouraged to apply).
- Job is based in Wyoming, DE with remote/telecommute flexibility for administrative duties.
Compensation & Benefits
- $45,000 annual base salary
- $3,000 annual car allowance

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent training/experience.
- Minimum of 2 years’ sales experience.
- Basic PC skills (MS Office, presentation software).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; diplomacy and customer service orientation.
- Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and work independently or in a team.
- Analytical and reporting skills; sound judgment and problem-solving.
- Valid driver’s license.
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to obtain/hold a Solicitor’s Permit.
- Familiarity with wine and spirits.
Physical Requirements
- Regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, and use hands to operate a computer and phone.
- Frequently required to reach overhead, squat, and bend.
- May be required to carry and lift 45–65 pounds.
