Role Overview
Confidential Client (Sales) is seeking a Sales Development Representative (SDR-2) based in Irving, TX. This is an entry-to-mid level B2B sales role focused on lead generation, outreach, and qualifying opportunities for the delivery/sales team. The role includes an intensive 10-week training program and a clear, defined path to promotion into an Account Manager role for high performers.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute initial stages of the outbound sales process after completing a 10-week hands-on training program (online learning, role plays, real-time scenarios).
- Research and build targeted call lists using tools such as LinkedIn and internal resources (candidates, consultants).
- Document, track, and research inbound leads and recruiter-lead program activity.
- Build customer profiles and talk tracks using enablement tools (e.g., Seismic, Gong).
- Conduct weekly outreach and maintain accurate activity records.
- Work with operations leadership to identify and re-engage lost customers and generate new meeting opportunities.
Progression after success in SDR-2:
- Develop and manage customer relationships using Salesforce, Hoovers, and similar tools.
- Increase sales and market share within assigned and newly generated accounts.
- Meet with prospective customers to identify hiring needs and build customer intimacy.
- Prepare and present proposals and partner with delivery teams to identify talent that meets client needs.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree OR military experience OR Associate degree + 3 years’ professional experience OR 4 years’ professional experience.
- Minimum of 1 year of sales experience OR degree in sales OR sales internship OR active membership in a collegiate sales organization.
- Strong interest in a career in B2B sales.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfort with negotiation and presentations.
- Sense of urgency, professionalism, resilience, and ability to collaborate across teams.
- Fast learner with a growth mindset.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base pay starting at $60,000+ (COLA where applicable) plus weekly commission and performance-based bonuses (quarterly and annual).
- Estimated total compensation (market estimate) shown on source: approximately $98,942 per year.
- 10-week training compensation: $21/hour (eligible for overtime) + COLA where applicable.
- Additional allowances and incentives may become available upon promotion to Account Manager (e.g., monthly car and cell phone allowance).
