Overview

Confidential Client, a fast-growing healthcare technology company, is hiring a Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join their high-energy, in-office team in downtown Santa Barbara, CA. This full-time role is an entry point into a high-earning sales career with hands-on training, mentorship, and a clear path to Account Executive responsibilities.


What You’ll Do

This role focuses on strategic outbound prospecting and high-quality pipeline generation. You will:

  • Design and execute multi-channel outbound campaigns (phone, email, LinkedIn, video) targeting senior buyers at healthcare organizations.
  • Research accounts and perform pre-call intelligence to tailor outreach and demonstrate credibility.
  • Rapidly qualify opportunities and hand off vetted leads to Account Executives.
  • Use Salesforce daily to log activity, manage cadences, and deliver market feedback.
  • Collaborate with sales leadership and AEs on messaging tests, role-plays, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

We hire for attitude, coachability, and hustle. Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree or 1–2 years of relevant, goal-driven experience (retail management, fundraising, competitive sports, military, or similar).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; comfortable engaging senior executives.
  • Highly motivated, competitive, and growth-oriented mindset.
  • Willingness to receive direct coaching, iterate quickly, and operate in a team-focused, in-office environment.
  • Ability to provide proof of authorization to work in the United States. Confidential Client cannot sponsor visas.

Bonus (not required):

  • Exposure to B2B technology sales or internships.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce or outreach automation tools.
  • Experience with high-volume cold calling or phone-based outreach.
  • Interest or background in healthcare or HealthTech.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary: $57,000 per year.
  • On-Target Earnings (OTE): $85,000 per year (base $57,000 + $28,000 variable/bonus). Uncapped upside for outperformance.
  • Equity: Eligible for stock options.

Workplace & Location

  • This is a full-time, on-site role requiring presence in the Santa Barbara, CA headquarters Monday–Friday.

Interview Process

You can expect a straightforward, skills-focused process:

  • Introductory call with Talent Acquisition (20–30 minutes).
  • Short writing assignment (self-paced, ~1 hour) to assess communication and research ability.
  • Zoom interview with the hiring manager (30 minutes).
  • On-site interview with a mock cold call and team members (1 hour).
