Role overview

Confidential Client is seeking an entry-level Sales & Business Operations Coordinator in Chicago, IL. This is a full-time role designed for a recent graduate or someone with 0–2 years of experience who wants hands-on exposure to sales, analytics, client work, and business operations. Estimated compensation (as posted by the source): $61,326 per year (estimated).

What You’ll Do

  • Work directly alongside senior leaders and gain cross-functional exposure to sales, analytics, marketing, and operations.
  • Manage calendars, schedules, meetings, and daily coordination for senior team members.
  • Prepare client presentations, sales materials, reports, and meeting briefs.
  • Coordinate internal and external meetings and ensure leaders are prepared.
  • Research prospective clients, partners, competitors, industries, and new business opportunities.
  • Assist with CRM management, pipeline tracking, follow-ups, and general sales organization.
  • Join client calls, sales meetings, partnership discussions, and internal strategy sessions.
  • Take notes, track action items, and help drive projects forward.
  • Support Excel/Google Sheets analysis, reporting, and performance tracking.
  • Learn how customer acquisition, partnerships, and new verticals are evaluated.
  • Support ad hoc projects across sales, analytics, marketing, and operations.
  • Gradually take on more responsibility as you demonstrate capability and initiative.

What We’re Looking For

  • Recent graduate or approximately 0–2 years of professional experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Marketing, Analytics, Communications, or a related field.
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to support the team in a variety of tasks.
  • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Analytical mindset and comfort working with numbers.
  • Working knowledge of Excel or Google Sheets.
  • Interest in sales, business development, analytics, and how companies scale.
  • Comfortable interacting with senior executives, clients, and external partners.
  • Curious, coachable, and able to accept and act on feedback.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment where priorities can shift.
  • Motivated by growth, responsibility, and measurable results.

The First 3–6 Months

This role is intentionally designed to provide broad exposure to the business. You’ll spend your first several months:

  • Working alongside senior leaders and supporting day-to-day needs across functions.
  • Rotating through sales, client relationship work, performance marketing, analytics, partnerships, and operations.
  • Observing how opportunities are identified, evaluated, and turned into growth initiatives.
  • Building foundational skills in CRM, reporting, stakeholder coordination, and presentation preparation.

Career Growth

This position is intended as a career launch point, not a permanent coordinator role. As you learn the business and demonstrate strengths, the goal is for you to transition into a more focused contributor position, for example:

  • Sales & Business Development — prospecting, pipeline management, partner negotiation, and closing deals.
  • Analytics & Strategy — performance analysis, trend identification, opportunity evaluation, and data-driven recommendations.

Compensation & Logistics

  • Location: Chicago, IL (on-site / in-office as needed per client guidelines).
  • Employment type: Full-time.
  • Estimated base salary (source-provided): $61,326 per year (estimated). Exact compensation and benefits will be determined by Confidential Client.
