Role Overview

This outside Sales Consultant role (territory-based) supports Confidential Client — a leading foodservice distributor — in building relationships with restaurants and foodservice operators across North Central Washington. You will help customers succeed while achieving sales and profit goals for your assigned territory. This is a field-based, permanent role based in Wenatchee, WA. Some non-traditional hours (evenings, weekends, holidays) may be required.


What You’ll Do

  • Develop new business and penetrate existing accounts to achieve profitable sales growth within your territory.
  • Seek and qualify prospects following company account stratification goals.
  • Research customer needs and propose the right mix of products and services.
  • Recommend products to customers based on market trends and client goals.
  • Provide product information and hands-on training to customer staff.
  • Drive to customer accounts, conventions, and company meetings as required.
  • Manage account receivables in coordination with credit teams; collect balances per approved credit terms.
  • Troubleshoot order/delivery issues and work with operations to resolve customer service issues.
  • Participate in company promotions, customer events, and sales/district meetings.
  • Complete administrative duties: sales budgets/reports, quotes, menu suggestions, and sales records.
  • Engage in ongoing training and assist in onboarding new team members as requested.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Estimated base pay (from source): $45,925 per year (estimated). Bonus and promotional incentive opportunities are available.

Who We’re Looking For (Qualifications)

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Hospitality, Culinary Arts or related field OR HSD/GED with 3 years of restaurant management, B2B or outside sales experience (or equivalent relatable experience, including completion of a sales internship).
  • Valid driver’s license and a driving record that meets company insurability standards.
  • Current automobile insurance meeting minimum limits: Bodily injury — $100,000 each person / $300,000 each accident; Property damage — $100,000.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English.
  • Basic PC skills and proficiency with MS Office.
  • Reside in, or be willing to relocate to, the geographical vicinity of the assigned territory.
  • Must pass employment testing and sign Confidential Client Protective Covenants Agreement.

Preferred

  • Bilingual candidates strongly preferred.
  • Prior restaurant management, foodservice outside sales, or chef experience.
