What You’ll Do
This outside Sales Consultant role is focused on building relationships with foodservice customers in the Wake Village, TX territory. You will help customers succeed by recommending product mixes and services, driving new business, protecting existing accounts, and achieving sales and profitability goals. The role requires regular customer visits using your personal vehicle, active territory development, and occasional non-traditional hours (evenings, weekends, holidays) to meet customer needs.
Responsibilities
- Develop new business and expand sales within assigned territory in Wake Village, TX.
- Penetrate existing accounts and minimize lost business to achieve profitable sales growth.
- Prospect, qualify, and prioritize leads according to account stratification goals.
- Research customer needs and recommend product and service solutions.
- Monitor market trends, product innovations, and competitor activity; share value-added information with customers.
- Provide product information and conduct practical training for customer personnel.
- Manage orders, troubleshoot inventory or order issues, and coordinate with transportation and credit departments.
- Communicate and assist in collecting accounts receivable as needed.
- Participate in sales meetings, promotions, customer events, and ongoing training.
- Prepare sales quotes, menus suggestions, reports and maintain sales records.
- Support team goals and assist with training new sales employees when requested.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Hospitality, Culinary Arts or related discipline OR high school diploma/GED plus 3 years of restaurant management, B2B or outside sales experience (or equivalent). Completion of the client’s sales internship may be considered.
- Valid driver’s license and a driving record that meets the client’s insurability standards.
- Current automobile insurance meeting the client’s limits (see Location & Logistics).
- Ability to read, write, and speak English.
- Basic PC skills and proficiency with MS Office.
Preferred
- Bilingual candidates a plus.
- Restaurant management, foodservice outside sales, or chef experience preferred.
Requirements
- Pass employment testing.
- Sign the client’s protective covenants agreement as a condition of employment.
- Reside in or be willing to relocate to the geographical vicinity of the assigned territory (Wake Village, TX).

- Estimated pay: $83,982 per year (estimated).

Location & Logistics

- Automobile insurance requirements: bodily injury $100,000 per person / $300,000 per accident; property damage $100,000 (as required by the client).
- Work schedule may include evenings, weekends, and holidays to support customers.
