What You’ll Do

This outside Sales Consultant role focuses on building and growing customer relationships across an assigned territory to drive product and service sales for our confidential client.

  • Develop new business and penetrate existing accounts to achieve profitable sales growth within your territory.
  • Prospect and qualify leads aligned with account stratification goals.
  • Research customer needs and recommend product and service mixes that meet business objectives.
  • Track market and competitor activity; recommend product solutions based on trends.
  • Provide product information and practical training to customer staff.
  • Manage order issues, special orders, and inventory-related customer concerns.
  • Communicate with credit/finance teams to manage accounts receivable when necessary.
  • Drive to customer accounts, trade shows, and company meetings as needed.
  • Participate in sales meetings, promotions, and training sessions; assist in onboarding new hires.
  • Perform routine administrative duties: prepare sales quotes, maintain records, and analyze sales/profit reports.

Qualifications

  • Required: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Hospitality, Culinary Arts or related discipline OR HSD/GED plus 3 years of restaurant management, B2B or outside sales experience (or equivalent experience, including completion of a sales internship).
  • Preferred: Restaurant management, foodservice outside sales, or chef experience.
  • Bilingual candidates a plus.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (no multiple DUIs within last 2 years).
  • Current automobile insurance meeting required minimum limits (bodily injury and property damage limits noted by the client).
  • Proficiency with basic PC tools and MS Office.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English (bilingual desirable).

Requirements & Conditions

  • Submit to pre-employment screening (drug test, background check).
  • Candidates must sign the client’s protective covenants agreement as required.
  • Must reside in or be willing to relocate to the geographic vicinity of the assigned territory.
  • This role may require occasional non-traditional hours (evenings, weekends, holidays) to meet customer needs.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Estimated base compensation: $66,728 per year (estimated).
