About the Role
Confidential Client is hiring an outside Sales Consultant to cover accounts in Queens, NY. This field-based position focuses on building long-term relationships with restaurant and foodservice customers, driving product adoption, and meeting sales and profit targets. The role may require non-traditional hours (evenings, weekends, holidays) and regular travel within the assigned territory.
What You’ll Do
- Develop new business, penetrate existing accounts, and minimize lost business to achieve profitable sales growth within your assigned territory.
- Seek and qualify prospects following account stratification and territory plans.
- Research customer business needs and recommend a tailored mix of products and services.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and product innovations; advise customers with value-added recommendations.
- Answer customer questions about products, pricing, availability and usage.
- Provide on-site product information and practical training to customer staff.
- Drive a personal vehicle to customer accounts, industry events, and company meetings.
- Manage order/delivery issues and coordinate with transportation and credit teams as needed.
- Collect and communicate accounts receivable information, following approved credit terms.
- Participate in sales meetings, promotions, customer visits and ongoing training.
- Prepare sales quotes, menu suggestions, budgets and routine sales reports; maintain accurate sales records.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Hospitality, Culinary Arts or related discipline OR HSD/GED plus 3 years of restaurant management, B2B or outside sales experience (or comparable experience, including completion of a sales internship).
- Bi-lingual candidates preferred.
- Restaurant management, foodservice outside sales or chef experience is a plus.
- Valid driver’s license and a driving record that meets Confidential Client’s insurability standards.
- Current automobile insurance meeting these minimum limits: bodily injury – $100,000 each person / $300,000 each accident; property damage – $100,000.
- Reside in (or be willing to relocate to) the geographic vicinity of the assigned territory.
- Ability to pass employment testing and willingness to sign the Confidential Client Protective Covenants Agreement.

Compensation & Benefits
- Estimated base pay: $58,082 per year (estimated).
- Contract role with competitive base pay plus bonus and promotional incentives.
