What You’ll Do

This outside sales role focuses on building and growing customer relationships across a defined territory in the foodservice distribution sector. You will promote product and service solutions, help customers meet their operational goals, and drive profitable sales growth while following territory plans and account stratification.


Responsibilities

  • Develop new business and expand existing accounts to meet sales and profit targets.
  • Identify, qualify, and pursue prospects following account stratification goals.
  • Assess customer needs and recommend product/service mixes to meet those needs.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity; share insights and value-added recommendations with customers.
  • Answer product, pricing, availability, and use questions and provide practical product training to customer staff.
  • Drive personal vehicle to customer accounts, conventions, and company meetings as required.
  • Communicate with credit/finance teams to collect receivables and resolve payment issues.
  • Coordinate with transportation and operations to manage delivery schedules and troubleshoot order issues.
  • Participate in promotions, customer events, and sales/district meetings.
  • Prepare sales quotes, budgets, reports, and maintain accurate sales records.
  • Support onboarding and training of new employees when requested.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Hospitality, Culinary Arts or related discipline OR High School Diploma/GED plus 3 years of restaurant management, B2B or outside sales experience (or equivalent experience, including completion of a recognized sales internship).
  • Valid driver’s license and automobile insurance that meets the company’s minimum limits (see Certificates & Requirements).
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bilingual candidates preferred.
  • Prior restaurant management, foodservice outside sales, or chef experience is a plus.

Certificates & Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license with a driving record that meets insurability standards.
  • Current automobile insurance with limits similar to: Bodily injury — $100,000 each person / $300,000 each accident; Property damage — $100,000 (as described by the client).
  • Must pass employment testing.
  • Must sign Confidential Client Protective Covenants Agreement.
  • Reside in (or be willing to relocate to) the geographical vicinity of the assigned territory.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Estimated base pay: $56,800 per year (estimate shown on source posting).
  • Additional compensation: bonus and promotional incentives.

Location & Travel

  • This position is based in Parkland, WA. Candidates must live in or be willing to relocate to the geographical vicinity of the territory.
