Confidential Client is hiring an Outside Sales Consultant to grow relationships with foodservice and restaurant customers in the Moab, UT area. Job Summary

This is an outside sales position focused on promoting products and services, developing new business, and supporting existing accounts to help customers succeed while meeting sales and profitability targets. The role may require occasional non-traditional hours (evenings, weekends, holidays) to meet customer needs.


What You’ll Do

  • Develop new business and penetrate existing accounts to achieve profitable sales growth in your assigned territory.
  • Seek and qualify prospects following account stratification goals.
  • Research customer needs and develop product/service mixes to meet those needs.
  • Recommend products and solutions based on market trends and customer goals.
  • Provide value-added information about products, pricing, availability, and competitive offerings.
  • Deliver product training and practical guidance to customer staff.
  • Drive a personal vehicle to customer accounts, events, conventions, and meetings.
  • Work with credit and operations teams to communicate and collect receivables as needed.
  • Coordinate with the transportation department to manage delivery schedules and resolve order issues.
  • Participate in customer visits, promotions, company meetings, and sales trainings.
  • Prepare sales budgets, quotes, menu suggestions, and maintain sales records and reports.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Hospitality, Culinary Arts, or related field; OR
  • High school diploma/GED plus 3 years of restaurant management, B2B or outside sales experience, or equivalent experience (including completion of an approved sales internship).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bi-lingual candidates a plus.
  • Prior restaurant management, foodservice outside sales, or chef experience preferred.

Certificates, Licenses & Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license with an insurable driving record that meets company standards.
  • Current automobile insurance with required limits: bodily injury — $100,000 each person / $300,000 each accident; property damage — $100,000.
  • Pass employment testing.
  • Must sign the Confidential Client protective covenants agreement if hired.
  • Must reside in or be willing to relocate to the geographic vicinity of the assigned territory.

Professional Skills

  • Proficiency with basic PC tasks and MS Office.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills (bilingual strongly preferred where noted).
