Overview
Confidential Client (via Careertakes) is recruiting an experienced outside Sales Consultant — Mandarin/Thai — to manage and grow foodservice accounts within a Los Angeles, CA territory (Downtown Los Angeles, Hollywood, Santa Monica). This role focuses on building customer relationships, driving profitable sales, and supporting customers with product knowledge and service.

Compensation
- Base salary range: $50,800 — $84,600 per year (provided in source; final pay depends on experience and skills)
- Eligible for bonus and incentive programs
Job Summary
This is an outside sales position responsible for promoting products and services and for developing relationships with new and existing accounts within the assigned Los Angeles territory. The role supports customer success while meeting sales and profit goals. May require non-traditional hours (evenings, weekends, holidays) to meet customer needs.
Responsibilities
- Develop new business and penetrate existing accounts to achieve profitable sales growth in the assigned territory
- Seek and qualify prospects according to account stratification goals
- Assess customer needs and recommend product/service mixes to meet business goals
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity; make product recommendations
- Provide product information and deliver practical product training to customer staff
- Answer customer questions about product availability, use, and pricing
- Drive a personal vehicle to customer accounts, events, and company meetings
- Manage receivables and coordinate with credit/finance as necessary
- Work with transportation/routing to ensure order/delivery accuracy and resolve issues
- Prepare sales quotes, menu suggestions, budgets, and sales reports; maintain records
- Participate in sales meetings, promotions, customer visits, training, and company events
- Assist in training new employees and engage in ongoing professional development
- Perform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Hospitality, Culinary Arts or related discipline OR High School Diploma/GED plus 3 years’ experience in restaurant management, B2B or outside sales, or equivalent experience (including completion of a relevant sales internship)
- Valid driver’s license and an insurable driving record
- Current automobile insurance meeting required limits (Bodily injury: $100,000 each person / $300,000 each accident; Property damage: $100,000)
- Authorized to work in the United States
Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingual (Mandarin and/or Thai skills strongly preferred)
- Experience in restaurant management, foodservice outside sales, or culinary/chef roles

Requirements
- Pass employment testing
- Willingness to sign Confidential Client’s protective covenants/agreement as required
- Reside in or be willing to relocate to the geographic vicinity of the assigned territory

This role covers the Los Angeles, CA area (Downtown Los Angeles, Hollywood, Santa Monica). Candidates must live in or be willing to relocate to the geographic vicinity of the territory.
