Role overview

Confidential Client is seeking a full-time, outside Sales Consultant (Mandarin) to develop and grow accounts within an assigned territory in San Antonio, TX. This territory sales role focuses on business development and relationship management with foodservice customers (restaurants, hospitality, institutional accounts) to drive profitable sales growth.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop new business and penetrate existing accounts to achieve sales and profit goals.
  • Seek, qualify and prioritize prospects per account-stratification plans.
  • Match customer business needs with product and service solutions; provide menu and product recommendations.
  • Track market trends and competitor activity; share insights and value-added guidance with customers.
  • Provide product information and practical on-site training to customer staff.
  • Drive to customer accounts, industry events, and company meetings as required.
  • Coordinate with internal teams (credit, transportation) to resolve order/fulfillment issues.
  • Manage accounts receivable collections when necessary, in partnership with credit.
  • Participate in promotions, customer events and sales/district meetings.
  • Maintain sales records and prepare sales budgets, quotes, and reports.
  • Support onboarding and training for new team members when requested.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Hospitality, Culinary Arts or related discipline OR
  • High school diploma/GED plus 3 years of restaurant management, B2B or outside sales experience (or equivalent relatable experience, including completion of an approved sales internship).
  • Valid driver’s license and driving record that meets company insurability standards.
  • Current auto insurance meeting minimum liability limits (see Certifications/Requirements).
  • Ability to read, write and speak English.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bilingual in Mandarin (spoken and written strongly preferred).
  • Restaurant management, foodservice outside sales, or chef experience.
  • Proven territory/route sales experience in foodservice or related industries.
  • Proficiency with MS Office and basic PC skills.

Certificates, Licenses & Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Current automobile insurance: Bodily injury — $100,000 each person / $300,000 each accident; property damage — $100,000.
  • Ability to pass employment testing.
  • Candidate must reside in or be willing to relocate to the geographical vicinity of the assigned territory.
  • Will be required to sign Confidential Client’s protective covenants/agreement as part of the employment terms.

Work environment

  • This is an outside-sales position requiring regular travel within the territory and use of a personal vehicle for customer visits.
  • May require non-traditional hours (evenings, weekends, holidays) to meet customer needs and support events.
