Overview
Confidential Client is hiring an Outside Sales Consultant to manage and grow foodservice accounts in the Los Angeles, CA territory. This outside sales role focuses on building relationships with new and existing customers, meeting sales and profitability targets, and providing value-added service and training to customer staff.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary range: $50,800 — $84,600 per year (provided in compliance with state pay-transparency laws)
- Eligibility for incentive/bonus plan

What You’ll Do
- Develop new business and penetrate existing accounts to achieve profitable sales growth within the assigned Los Angeles territory.
- Qualify prospects and manage account stratification activities.
- Research customer needs and propose product/service mixes that meet those needs and drive results.
- Track market trends, product innovations, and competitor activity; advise customers accordingly.
- Provide product information and practical product training to customer personnel.
- Answer customer questions about products, pricing, availability, and usage.
- Manage deliveries in coordination with the transportation team and troubleshoot order issues.
- Participate in customer events, company promotions, and district sales meetings.
- Drive your personal vehicle to customer accounts, company meetings, and industry events as required.
- Support receivables collection in partnership with the credit department when necessary.
- Prepare sales quotes, menu suggestions, and routine administrative reports.
- Assist with onboarding/training new sales staff when requested.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Hospitality, Culinary Arts or related field OR
- High school diploma/GED plus 3 years of restaurant management, B2B, or outside sales experience (or completion of the Sales Internship or equivalent experience)
- Valid driver’s license and automobile insurance meeting company insurability requirements
- Must reside in or be willing to relocate to the geographical vicinity of the assigned territory
- Authorized to work in the United States
Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply
- Prior restaurant management, foodservice outside sales, or chef experience a plus
