Overview
Confidential Client is hiring an experienced outside Sales Consultant to cover accounts across the Los Angeles — South Bay territory (includes El Segundo, Gardena, Inglewood, Manhattan Beach, Redondo Beach and nearby areas). This field sales role focuses on building strong customer relationships with restaurants and foodservice operators, growing sales, and supporting clients with product knowledge and service.
- Employment type: Full-time (Contractor classification also listed)
- Compensation: $50,800 — $84,600 per year
- Travel: Up to 50% within assigned territory
- Location requirement: Must reside or be willing to relocate to the geographical vicinity of the territory

What You’ll Do
- Develop new business and grow existing accounts to achieve profitable sales growth within your assigned territory.
- Seek, qualify and prioritize prospects following account stratification goals.
- Assess customer needs and recommend an appropriate mix of products and services.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity; advise customers on relevant product opportunities.
- Provide product information and practical training to customer personnel.
- Manage customer transactions, order issues, and coordinate with internal teams (transportation, credit, etc.) to ensure timely service.
- Collect accounts receivable when necessary, in coordination with credit department policies.
- Participate in company promotions, events, district meetings, and ongoing training.
- Prepare sales budgets, quotes, reports and maintain accurate sales records.
- Assist in training new team members as requested.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What We’re Looking For (Qualifications)
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Hospitality, Culinary Arts or a related discipline — OR — HSD/GED plus 3 years of restaurant management, B2B or outside sales experience (or equivalent), including completion of a recognized sales internship.
- Valid driver’s license and an insurable driving record.
- Current automobile insurance meeting minimum liability limits (California candidates should confirm required limits).
- Proficient with basic PC skills and MS Office.
- Ability to read, write and speak English.
Preferred
- Bilingual candidates highly desirable.
- Prior restaurant management, foodservice outside sales, or chef experience preferred.
Other Requirements
- Pass employment testing.
- Sign client’s protective covenants/agreement as required.
- Reside or be willing to relocate to the territory footprint.

Location & Travel
