Role Overview

Confidential Client is seeking a driven Outside Sales Consultant to manage and grow accounts in a defined territory (Broken Bow, Hugo, Antlers, and Idabel, Oklahoma). This is an outside, territory-based sales position focused on helping foodservice customers succeed while meeting sales and profitability goals.

Residency requirement: the candidate must reside within 30 miles of the defined territory.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop new business and penetrate existing accounts to drive profitable sales growth within the assigned territory
  • Qualify prospects and manage territory per account stratification goals
  • Assess customer needs and recommend product and service mixes to support their goals
  • Provide product information and practical on-site training to customer personnel
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and product innovations to advise customers
  • Drive a personal vehicle to customer accounts, events, and meetings as required
  • Collaborate with credit and transportation teams to resolve order, delivery, and receivable issues
  • Prepare sales quotes, reports, budgets, and maintain accurate sales records
  • Participate in sales meetings, customer events, and ongoing training sessions
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support business objectives

Qualifications

  • Required: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Hospitality, Culinary Arts or related discipline OR HSD/GED with 3+ years of restaurant management, B2B, or outside sales experience (or equivalent relevant experience, including completion of a recognized sales internship)
  • Preferred: Bi-lingual candidates and those with restaurant management, foodservice outside sales, or chef experience

Certificates, Licenses & Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (no multiple DUIs within the last 2 years)
  • Current automobile insurance with required liability limits (Bodily injury: $100,000 per person / $300,000 per accident; Property damage: $100,000)
  • Must submit to pre-employment screening (drug test, background check)
  • Must sign Confidential Client Protective Covenants Agreement as a condition of employment
  • Must reside within or be willing to relocate to the geographical vicinity of the territory

Skills & Competencies

  • Basic PC skills and proficiency with MS Office
  • Strong communication, follow-up, and customer relationship-building skills
  • Sales ability, persuasiveness, and adaptability to changing priorities
  • Strong organizational skills and comfort working independently in the field
