Position overview
Confidential Client is hiring a Sales Consultant to cover the Lincoln, NE territory. This outside-sales role focuses on building relationships with restaurants and foodservice operations, driving sales of foodservice products and value-added services, and helping customers succeed while meeting sales and profitability goals.

What You’ll Do
- Develop new business and grow existing accounts to achieve profitable territory sales.
- Identify, qualify, and pursue prospects following account stratification goals.
- Research customer needs and recommend product and service mixes to meet those needs.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity; recommend relevant products to customers.
- Provide product information and hands-on training to customer personnel.
- Drive a personal vehicle to customer accounts, meetings, and events as needed.
- Communicate with credit and operations teams to resolve billing and order issues.
- Support delivery routing and troubleshoot order or inventory problems.
- Participate in customer events, promotions, and sales meetings.
- Prepare sales budgets, reports, quotes, and menu suggestions; maintain accurate sales records.
- Engage in ongoing training and assist with onboarding new team members.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Hospitality, Culinary Arts, or related field OR high school diploma/GED plus 3 years of restaurant management, B2B, or outside sales experience, or equivalent experience including completion of a sales internship.
- Valid driver license and automobile insurance that meets insurability standards.
- Basic PC skills and proficiency with MS Office.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
Preferred
- Bilingual candidates are a plus.
- Restaurant management, foodservice outside sales, or chef experience preferred.
