What You’ll Do
- Represent Confidential Client’s foodservice products and services to new and existing customers.
- Develop new business, penetrate existing accounts, and minimize lost business to meet territory sales and profit goals.
- Qualify prospects and tailor product/service mixes to customer needs.
- Provide product information, demonstrations, and on-site training to customer staff.
- Monitor market and competitor activity; recommend products and solutions based on customer goals.
- Manage account administration including sales quotes, credits, and maintaining sales records.
- Participate in company promotions, customer events, and ongoing sales training.
- Travel within the assigned territory using a personal vehicle; attend conventions and company meetings as required.
- Support collections and coordinate with credit and transportation teams when needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships in the restaurant and foodservice industry.
- Execute territory sales plans and achieve individual and team sales targets.
- Provide value-added consultative selling to improve customers’ business outcomes.
- Analyze daily/weekly reports (special orders, bid files, sales/profit margin) to inform sales activity.
- Assist in training new team members when requested.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Hospitality, Culinary Arts or related discipline OR HSD/GED plus 3 years’ experience in restaurant management, B2B/outside sales, or equivalent relatable experience (including completion of a recognized sales internship).
- Valid driver’s license and personal automobile insurance that meets company insurability standards.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English.
- Basic PC skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bi-lingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
- Background in restaurant management, foodservice outside sales, or culinary/chef experience preferred.
Requirements & Certifications
- Meet driver record and insurance requirements (example limits referenced by client).
- Pass required pre-employment testing.
- Sign Confidential Client’s protective covenants agreement (as required).
- Reside in—or be willing to relocate to—the geographical vicinity of the assigned territory.

Compensation & Benefits
- Estimated compensation: $70,153 per year (estimated).
