What You’ll Do

As a Sales Consultant for our confidential client in the Sales industry, you will manage a defined territory around Laredo, TX. You’ll build and grow relationships with new and existing foodservice and restaurant customers, promote products and services, and help customers succeed while achieving sales and profit goals.

  • Develop new business, penetrate existing accounts, and minimize lost business to achieve profitable sales growth within the assigned territory.
  • Seek and qualify prospects according to account stratification goals.
  • Research customer needs and recommend a mix of products and services to meet those needs.
  • Provide product information and practical training to customer personnel.
  • Monitor market conditions, competitor activity, and product trends; share insights with customers.
  • Manage order issues (stock, special orders, low inventory) and coordinate with operations teams.
  • Collect receivables as needed and work with credit to resolve account issues.
  • Prepare sales budgets, reports, quotes, menu suggestions, and maintain sales records.
  • Participate in promotions, customer visits, events, and regular sales meetings.
  • Engage in ongoing training and assist with onboarding new sales team members.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support territory goals.

Who You Are

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Hospitality, Culinary Arts or related discipline OR HSD/GED plus 3 years of restaurant management, B2B/outside sales experience, or equivalent experience (including completion of a relevant sales internship).
  • Proven outside-sales or foodservice/restaurant sales experience preferred.
  • Bi-lingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
  • Valid driver’s license and automobile insurance that meets the client’s insurability standards (required limits noted below).
  • Willing to reside in or relocate to the geographic vicinity of the Laredo territory (ideal candidates live within ~30 miles).
  • Able to pass employment testing and agree to the confidential client’s protective covenants agreement.
  • Authorized to work in the United States.

Compensation & Benefits

Estimated compensation: $88,072 per year (estimated). Actual pay will depend on experience and final offer.

Location & Travel

  • Territory: Laredo, TX. The ideal candidate lives within ~30 miles of the territory and can travel regularly to customer locations.
  • This outside-sales role requires driving a personal vehicle for customer visits, conventions, company meetings, and other business needs.
  • Some non-traditional hours may be required (evenings, weekends, holidays) to meet customer needs.
