Role overview
Confidential Client is hiring an Outside Sales Consultant to cover a territory based in Ladys Island, SC. This territory-facing role focuses on developing and maintaining foodservice and restaurant accounts, delivering product and service solutions, and meeting sales and profitability targets.
What You’ll Do
This is an outside sales position focused on building strong customer relationships and driving profitable sales within a defined territory.
- Develop new business and penetrate existing accounts to achieve profitable sales growth.
- Seek and qualify prospects and manage account stratification goals.
- Research customer needs and recommend product/service mixes to meet those needs.
- Monitor market trends and competitive activity; advise customers on product selections.
- Provide product information and practical training to customer staff.
- Drive a personal vehicle to customer accounts, conventions, and meetings.
- Help manage order/delivery issues (out-of-stock items, special orders, inventory).
- Communicate with credit/finance teams to support collections when necessary.
- Prepare sales quotes, menu suggestions, budgets and reports; maintain sales records.
- Participate in promotions, customer visits, events, and company/district meetings.
- Engage in ongoing training and assist in training new employees as requested.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What We’re Looking For
Required education / experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Hospitality, Culinary Arts or related field OR HSD/GED plus 3 years of restaurant management, B2B or outside sales experience (or equivalent experience, including completion of an approved sales internship).
Preferred:
- Bilingual candidates and/or prior restaurant management, foodservice outside sales, or chef experience.
Certificates & licenses:
- Valid driver’s license and an insurable driving record.
- Current automobile insurance meeting the company’s minimum liability limits (see Requirements & Logistics).
Other:
- Authorized to work in the United States.
- Willing to reside in or relocate to the geographic vicinity of the assigned territory.
Compensation & Benefits
- Estimated base pay: $66,262 per year (estimated).

Requirements & Logistics
- Must pass pre-employment testing as required by Confidential Client.
- Must sign Confidential Client Protective Covenants Agreement as a condition of employment.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and current automobile insurance. (Source post specifies liability limits of $100,000 per person / $300,000 per accident for bodily injury and $100,000 for property damage — candidates should confirm local requirements with the hiring representative.)
- Must be willing and able to drive a personal vehicle for customer visits and meetings.
- Must reside in or be willing to relocate to the assigned territory (Ladys Island, SC area).
