What You’ll Do
This is an outside, territory-based sales role focused on building relationships with new and existing foodservice accounts in and around Island Lake, WA. You'll help customers succeed by recommending the right mix of products and services, driving profitable sales growth, and supporting operational needs of accounts through training and reliable follow-up. This role may require non-traditional hours (evenings, weekends, holidays) to meet customer needs.
Responsibilities
- Develop new business, penetrate existing accounts, and minimize lost business to achieve profitable sales growth within an assigned territory.
- Seek and qualify prospects using account stratification and territory planning.
- Research customer needs and recommend appropriate products and services.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity; advise customers on product innovations and pricing.
- Answer product, pricing, availability, and usage questions from customers.
- Provide on-site product information and practical training to customer staff.
- Drive a personal vehicle to customer accounts, conventions, and company meetings.
- Coordinate with credit/collections when necessary and collect balances based on approved terms.
- Manage order issues (out-of-stock, special orders, low inventory) and liaise with routing/transportation teams as needed.
- Participate in customer visits, promotions, events, sales meetings, and ongoing training.
- Prepare sales budgets, quotes, menu suggestions, and maintain accurate sales records and reports.
- Assist in training new employees and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Hospitality, Culinary Arts, or related field OR HSD/GED plus 3 years restaurant management, B2B/outside sales, or equivalent experience (including completion of a relevant sales internship).
- Prior restaurant management, foodservice outside sales, or chef experience is preferred.
- Bilingual candidates preferred.
Requirements & Certifications
- Valid driver’s license with a driving record that meets the confidential client’s insurability standards.
- Current automobile insurance with limits: Bodily injury — $100,000 each person / $300,000 each accident; Property damage — $100,000.
- Must pass employment testing.
- Must sign the confidential client’s Protective Covenants Agreement as a condition of employment.
- Must reside in or be willing to relocate to the geographical vicinity of the assigned territory (Island Lake, WA).

Compensation & Benefits
- Estimated base: $54,332 per year (estimated).
