Overview

This outside sales role (Sales Consultant) supports foodservice customers across the Irving / DFW territory. You will promote product and service solutions, build lasting customer relationships, and drive profitable sales growth for the Confidential Client. This is a field role that may require non-traditional hours (evenings, weekends, holidays) to meet customer needs.


What You’ll Do

  • Develop new business and deepen relationships with existing accounts to meet territory sales and profit goals.
  • Prospect, qualify, and prioritize opportunities based on account stratification and territory plans.
  • Recommend product mixes and service solutions that address customer business needs and objectives.
  • Keep informed on market conditions, product innovations, and competitive activity; share insights with customers.
  • Provide product information and in-person training to customer staff.
  • Drive a personal vehicle to customer accounts, events, conventions, and company meetings.
  • Help manage order/delivery issues and coordinate with operations and credit teams when needed.
  • Prepare sales quotes, menu suggestions, sales budgets, and weekly/monthly reports.
  • Participate in promotions, customer events, team meetings, and ongoing sales training.
  • Assist with onboarding or mentoring new sales team members.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support territory results.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Estimated pay: $79,019 per year (estimated).

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Hospitality, Culinary Arts, or related discipline OR
  • HSD/GED plus 3 years’ experience in restaurant management, B2B or outside sales, or equivalent relatable experience (including completion of the client’s sales internship).

Preferred

  • Bi-lingual (preferred).
  • Restaurant management, foodservice outside sales, or chef experience (preferred).

Certificates & Licenses

  • Valid driver’s license and automobile insurance that meets the Confidential Client’s insurability standards.
  • Insurance limits in source posting: Bodily injury — $100,000 each person / $300,000 each accident; Property damage — $100,000 (confirm current requirements with the client).

Requirements

  • Pass employment testing as required by the client.
  • Must sign the Confidential Client’s protective covenants agreement.
  • Reside in, or be willing to relocate to, the geographic vicinity of the assigned territory.
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States.

Professional Skills & Competencies

  • Basic PC skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English; bilingual skills are a plus.
  • Proven sales ability, customer-service mindset, and follow-up discipline.
  • Comfortable managing time, adapting to changing priorities, and working independently in the field.
  • Competencies: Building trust, customer loyalty, persuasiveness, adaptability, and organization.
