Overview
Confidential Client is seeking a driven Sales Consultant for an outside sales territory covering Hilton Head, Beaufort, and Bluffton, SC. This is a field-facing role focused on foodservice and restaurant customers — building relationships, driving sales growth, and delivering value to customer operations. The role is Full-time (contract/employee arrangement may apply) and may require travel up to 75%.
What You’ll Do
This outside sales role is responsible for new business development, account growth, and customer success within an assigned territory.
- Develop new business and penetrate existing accounts to achieve profitable sales growth.
- Qualify prospects and follow account stratification and territory plans.
- Research customer needs and recommend product and service mixes.
- Recommend products based on market trends and customer goals.
- Provide product information and on-site training to customer staff.
- Manage order and delivery issues; work with operations teams to resolve fulfillment problems.
- Communicate with credit and collections when necessary and collect on accounts per approved terms.
- Prepare sales quotes, menu suggestions, and maintain accurate sales records.
- Participate in company promotions, customer events, and district sales meetings.
- Engage in ongoing sales training and assist with onboarding new team members.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Compensation & Travel
- Reported base pay in source posting: $100,000 per year (algorithmic estimate). Actual pay may vary based on experience, location, and other factors.
- Travel: Up to 75% territory travel required.
- Role may include car allowance or mileage reimbursement and company-provided cell phone depending on location.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Hospitality, Culinary Arts or related discipline OR high school diploma/GED plus 3 years’ restaurant management, B2B/outside sales experience, or completion of a relevant sales internship.
- Valid driver’s license and an insurable driving record.
- Current automobile insurance that meets the employer’s minimum liability requirements.
- Basic PC skills and proficiency with MS Office.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
Preferred
- Restaurant management, foodservice outside sales, or chef experience.
- Bilingual candidates a plus.
Other requirements
- Pass employment testing.
- Willingness to reside in or relocate to the geographic vicinity of the territory.
- Agreement to sign Confidential Client’s protective covenants agreement as a condition of employment.
