What You’ll Do

This outside sales role focuses on building relationships with new and existing accounts in an assigned territory to drive profitable sales growth. You’ll support customers by recommending products and services that meet their operational needs, provide training where needed, and help solve ordering or delivery issues.

  • Develop new business, grow existing accounts, and minimize lost business to meet sales and profit goals.
  • Prospect, qualify, and prioritize leads according to account stratification goals.
  • Research customer operations and recommend product/service mixes to meet their needs.
  • Monitor market and competitor activity; advise customers on product innovations and trends.
  • Provide product information and practical training to customer staff.
  • Respond to customer questions on pricing, availability, and product use.
  • Drive a personal vehicle to customer accounts, conventions, and company meetings.
  • Help manage deliveries and troubleshoot order issues (out of stock items, special orders, low inventory).
  • Communicate with credit/finance teams to help manage accounts receivable and collections as needed.
  • Participate in promotions, customer events, sales meetings, and ongoing training.
  • Prepare sales budgets, quotes, menu suggestions, and maintain accurate sales records.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Hospitality, Culinary Arts, or a related discipline
    OR High school diploma/GED plus 3 years of restaurant management, B2B or outside sales experience (or equivalent), including completion of a recognized sales internship.
  • Valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record.
  • Current automobile insurance that meets the company’s minimum liability limits.
  • Authorized to work in the United States.

Preferred

  • Bilingual candidates (Spanish/English) are encouraged to apply.
  • Experience in restaurant management, foodservice outside sales, or as a chef is a plus.
  • Proficiency with MS Office and basic PC skills.
  • Strong communication, adaptability, and demonstrated sales ability.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Estimated base compensation: $77,519 per year (estimated).
  • Competitive base salary plus bonus and promotional incentive opportunities.

Requirements & Conditions

  • Pass pre-employment testing and background checks as required.
  • Must sign the Confidential Client Protective Covenants Agreement as a condition of hire.
  • Reside in or be willing to relocate to the geographical vicinity of the assigned territory.
  • Must maintain automobile insurance with the following minimum limits: bodily injury — $100,000 each person / $300,000 each accident; property damage — $100,000 (where required).
