- Estimated pay: $52,988 per year (algorithmic estimate; actual pay depends on experience, location, and other factors).

What You’ll Do (Job Summary)
This outside sales role is focused on promoting the client’s foodservice products and services, developing new accounts, growing existing business, and helping customers succeed while meeting sales and profit targets. You will call on restaurants and foodservice operators, provide product training, recommend menu and merchandising solutions, and support ordering and delivery processes. Some non-traditional hours (evenings, weekends, holidays) may be required to meet customer needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop new business and penetrate existing accounts to achieve profitable sales growth across the assigned territory.
- Qualify prospects and manage a pipeline in line with account stratification goals.
- Research customer needs and recommend product and service mixes to meet objectives.
- Track market trends and recommend products and pricing that align with customer goals.
- Provide product information and practical training to customer staff.
- Manage customer accounts, support order issues, and work with internal teams (transportation, credit) to resolve delivery or billing problems.
- Collect receivables as needed and follow approved credit terms.
- Participate in customer events, promotions, and sales meetings.
- Prepare sales quotes, menu suggestions, budgets, and reports; maintain accurate sales records.
- Assist with training new team members and engage in ongoing professional development.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Hospitality, Culinary Arts or related discipline OR high school diploma/GED plus 3 years’ experience in restaurant management, B2B/outside sales, or equivalent experience (Sysco Sales Internship completion accepted).
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record (no multiple DUIs within the last 2 years).
- Current automobile insurance meeting required limits.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
Preferred
- Bilingual candidates a plus.
- Prior restaurant management, foodservice outside sales, or chef experience helpful.
- Experience building customer relationships and meeting sales goals.
Requirements & Pre-Employment

- Signing of Confidential Client’s protective covenants agreement may be required.
- Must reside in or be willing to relocate to the vicinity of the assigned territory.
