About the Role
Confidential Client is seeking an Outside Sales Consultant (Sales) to join a world-class field sales team serving foodservice and restaurant customers. This outside sales role focuses on driving profitable sales growth in an assigned territory by building relationships with new and existing accounts, recommending products and services, and helping customers succeed. The role may require some non-traditional hours (evenings, weekends, holidays) and regular travel within the territory.
What You’ll Do
- Develop new business, penetrate existing accounts, and reduce lost business to achieve sales and profit goals in your assigned territory.
- Seek, qualify, and prioritize prospects following client account-stratification goals.
- Research customer needs and recommend product/service mixes that meet business objectives.
- Monitor market and competitor activity and share actionable insights with customers.
- Provide product information, on-site demonstrations, and practical training to customer personnel.
- Drive to customer accounts, company meetings, and industry events using your personal vehicle.
- Communicate with credit/operations teams as needed to manage receivables and resolve order issues.
- Support delivery routing schedules and troubleshoot inventory or order problems.
- Participate in company promotions, customer events, and team sales meetings.
- Prepare sales budgets, reports, quotes, menu suggestions and maintain accurate sales records.
- Engage in ongoing training and assist with onboarding new sales associates as requested.
Who We’re Looking For (Qualifications)
- Required: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Hospitality, Culinary Arts or related discipline OR High School Diploma/GED plus 3 years’ experience in restaurant management, B2B/outside sales, or related experience (including completion of a recognized sales internship).
- Preferred: Restaurant management, foodservice outside sales, or chef experience; bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
- Valid driver’s license and a driving record that meets client insurability standards.
- Current automobile insurance that meets the client limits (example shown in source: BI $100,000/$300,000; PD $100,000).
- Must pass employment testing and sign client-required protective covenants/agreement.
- Must reside in, or be willing to relocate to, the geographical vicinity of the assigned territory.
- Authorization to work in the United States is required.

Compensation & Benefits
- Estimated base salary: $48,387 per year (estimated).
- Eligible for bonus/incentive programs, monthly and annual sales recognition.
- Car allowance / mileage reimbursement may be available (varies by location; mileage reimbursement noted for CA in source).
