What You’ll Do

This is an outside sales role focused on building and growing customer relationships in the Miromar Lakes / Fort Myers, FL territory. You will represent the confidential client’s product and service lines, help customers solve business needs, and deliver on sales and profit goals.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop new business and penetrate existing accounts to achieve profitable sales growth within an assigned territory.
  • Qualify prospects and manage the sales pipeline in line with account stratification goals.
  • Research customer needs and recommend product/service mixes that drive results.
  • Stay informed on market trends, product innovations, and competitor activity; share value-added insights with customers.
  • Provide product information and practical training to customer staff.
  • Handle order issues and coordinate with operations teams to resolve out-of-stock or special-order situations.
  • Support promotions, customer events, and sales/district meetings.
  • Drive to customer accounts, conventions, and company meetings as required.
  • Perform sales administration: prepare quotes, reports, and budgets; maintain sales records; process credits and pick-ups.
  • Collect receivables as needed in coordination with the credit department.
  • Participate in ongoing sales training and help onboard/mentor new employees when requested.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Hospitality, Culinary Arts, or related discipline, OR HSD/GED plus 3 years of restaurant management, B2B or outside sales experience, or comparable experience (including completion of a recognized sales internship).
  • Proven outside sales or territory management experience (or relevant restaurant/foodservice background).
  • Valid driver’s license and driving record that meet employer insurability standards.
  • Current automobile insurance meeting liability limits indicated by the employer (see Requirements).

Preferred

  • Bilingual candidates encouraged.
  • Restaurant management, foodservice outside sales, or chef experience preferred.
  • Comfortable selling to a range of ethnic and multicultural foodservice customers.

Requirements & Compliance

  • Must pass employment testing and any standard pre-employment screenings.
  • Must sign the employer’s protective covenants or confidentiality agreement if hired.
  • Must reside in or be willing to relocate to the geographic vicinity of the assigned territory.
  • Ability to work non-traditional hours (evenings, weekends, holidays) when customer needs require it.
  • Maintain the required personal automobile insurance: Bodily injury — $100,000 per person / $300,000 per accident; property damage — $100,000 (as specified by the employer).

  • Effective follow-up, time management, and territory organization.
  • Adaptability and strong verbal/written communication.
  • Basic PC skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English (additional languages a plus).

  • Estimated base pay: $55,497 per year (estimated figure provided by source).
