What You’ll Do

This is an outside sales role focused on building relationships with foodservice customers and driving profitable sales growth within an assigned territory. As a Sales Consultant for our confidential client you will:

  • Develop new business, penetrate existing accounts, and reduce lost business to meet territory sales and profit goals.
  • Qualify prospects and pursue sales opportunities according to account stratification.
  • Research customer needs and recommend product and service mixes to meet business objectives.
  • Advise customers on market trends, product innovations, pricing and competitor activity.
  • Provide product information and hands-on training to customer personnel when needed.
  • Manage order issues and coordinate with transportation and credit teams to resolve delivery or billing problems.
  • Drive your personal vehicle to customer sites, meetings, and company events.
  • Participate in company promotions, district meetings, and ongoing sales training.
  • Maintain sales records, prepare quotes, process credits, and review daily/weekly sales and margin reports.
  • Support team initiatives and help train new employees as requested.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support territory goals.

Qualifications

Required (one of the following):

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Hospitality, Culinary Arts or related field OR
  • High school diploma/GED plus 3 years’ experience in restaurant management, B2B/outside sales, or equivalent experience (including completion of the Sales Internship program).

Preferred:

  • Bi-lingual candidates a plus.
  • Prior restaurant management, foodservice outside sales, or chef experience preferred.

Certificates / Licenses:

  • Valid driver’s license and automobile insurance that meets company insurability standards (typical liability limits required).
  • Ability to meet client-specific driving record and insurance requirements.

Requirements & Logistics

  • Must reside in (or be willing to relocate to) the geographical vicinity of the assigned territory (Dublin, GA).
  • Must pass employment testing and sign company-required protective covenants as requested by the confidential client.
  • Work may include non-traditional hours (evenings, weekends, holidays) to meet customer needs.
  • Basic PC skills and proficiency with MS Office.
  • Ability to read, write and speak English; bilingual candidates encouraged where noted.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Estimated base pay: $52,924 per year (estimated).
  • Additional pay: bonus and promotional incentive opportunities where applicable.
  • Vehicle support: car allowance and/or mileage reimbursement where applicable (mileage reimbursement specified for some locations).
  • Cell phone provided.
