Responsibilities
This outside-sales role focuses on building and growing customer relationships in an assigned territory to meet sales and profit goals for our confidential client.
- Develop new business, penetrate existing accounts, and minimize lost business to achieve profitable sales growth within your territory.
- Seek and qualify prospects in line with account stratification goals.
- Research customer business needs and recommend the right mix of products and services.
- Monitor market trends and recommend product solutions to customers.
- Provide product information, practical training, and value-added services to customer personnel.
- Answer customer questions on products, prices, availability and product use.
- Manage customer orders and troubleshoot issues such as out-of-stock items or special orders.
- Drive your personal vehicle to customer accounts, conventions, and company meetings as needed.
- Communicate and collect accounts receivable in coordination with the credit department.
- Participate in sales meetings, promotions, customer visits, and company events.
- Engage in ongoing sales training and assist in training new employees as requested.
- Prepare sales budgets, quotes, menu suggestions, and maintain accurate sales records and reports.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Hospitality, Culinary Arts or a related discipline OR HSD/GED plus 3 years of restaurant management, B2B/outside sales experience, or equivalent related experience (completion of a sales internship acceptable).
- Valid driver’s license with a driving record that meets company insurability standards.
- Current automobile insurance meeting the stated minimum limits (see Certifications & Licenses).
- Ability to read, write and speak English.
- Basic PC skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
- Prior restaurant management, foodservice outside sales, or chef experience preferred.
- Experience with territory selling and restaurant/foodservice customers.
Certificates, Licenses & Insurance
- Valid driver’s license.
- Current automobile insurance with the following minimum liability limits:
- Bodily injury — $100,000 each person / $300,000 each accident.
- Property damage — $100,000.
Requirements & Pre-Employment
- Pass employment testing.
- Must sign the confidential client’s Protective Covenants Agreement.
- Reside in, or be willing to relocate to, the geographical vicinity of the assigned territory.

Compensation & Benefits
- Estimated base pay: $54,041 per year (estimate shown on source posting).
- Competitive base salary plus bonus and promotional incentives.

Location & Travel
- This role is based in Corvallis, OR and requires regular travel within an assigned territory.
