Job Summary
This outside sales role (Sales Consultant) is responsible for building relationships with new and existing accounts, promoting products and services, and achieving territory sales and profit goals. You will work with restaurant, hospitality, and foodservice customers to recommend products, provide training, and drive profitable growth. Some non-traditional hours (evenings, weekends, holidays) may be required.
What You’ll Do / Responsibilities
- Develop new business, expand existing accounts, and reduce lost business to drive profitable sales growth in an assigned territory.
- Prospect, qualify leads, and follow account stratification goals.
- Assess customer needs and propose product/service solutions.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity; recommend products based on customer goals.
- Answer customer questions on products, pricing, availability, and usage.
- Provide product demonstrations and on-site training for customer staff.
- Manage route and deliveries in coordination with transportation; troubleshoot order issues.
- Work with credit/finance teams to collect receivables as needed.
- Prepare sales quotes, menu suggestions, budgets, reports, and maintain sales records.
- Participate in sales meetings, promotions, customer events, and ongoing training.
- Assist in onboarding and training new employees when requested.
- Perform other duties as assigned to meet business objectives.
Qualifications
Required Education / Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Hospitality, Culinary Arts or related field OR high school diploma/GED plus 3 years of restaurant management, B2B/outside sales experience, or comparable experience (including completion of a Sales Internship).
Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingual skills are a plus.
- Prior restaurant management, foodservice outside sales, or chef experience preferred.
Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations
- Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record.
- Current automobile insurance meeting required liability limits (as specified by client).
Requirements
- Must pass employment testing.
- Must sign the client’s protective covenants agreement.
- Reside in or be willing to relocate to the geographical vicinity of the assigned territory.

Compensation & Benefits
- Estimated pay (posted): $51,366 per year (estimated).
- Competitive base salary plus bonus and promotional incentive opportunities.

Location & Travel
