Position Overview

Confidential Client is hiring an Outside Sales Consultant responsible for building and managing B2B relationships across a defined territory based in Augusta, GA. This outside sales role focuses on supporting restaurant and foodservice customers, driving new business, and achieving sales and profit targets through consultative selling.


What You’ll Do

Confidential Client seeks a motivated sales professional to drive territory growth and deliver outstanding customer service.

  • Develop new business and grow existing accounts to meet revenue and profit goals
  • Prospect, qualify, and close opportunities using consultative selling methods
  • Provide product recommendations, menu suggestions, and on-site training to customers
  • Manage order issues, coordinate with internal teams (credit, transportation), and ensure customer satisfaction
  • Attend sales meetings, customer events, trade shows, and ongoing training sessions
  • Prepare sales budgets, reports, quotes, and maintain accurate sales records
  • Travel within assigned territory using a personal vehicle (mileage reimbursement as applicable)

Key Responsibilities

  • Penetrate target accounts and minimize attrition to achieve profitable growth
  • Research customer needs and tailor product/service mixes accordingly
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and share value-added insights with customers
  • Collect receivables as necessary and work with credit teams to resolve issues
  • Support delivery routing and troubleshoot order/process issues
  • Participate in team-based selling and recognition programs

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Hospitality, Culinary Arts or a related field OR
  • High school diploma/GED plus 3 years of restaurant management, B2B or outside sales experience (or equivalent), including completion of a formal sales internship

Preferred

  • Experience in foodservice, restaurant management, or chef background
  • Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply

Certificates & Licenses

  • Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record
  • Current automobile insurance meeting minimum limits (example: BI $100,000/$300,000; PD $100,000) — state requirements may vary

Requirements

  • Authorization to work in the United States
  • Ability to work non-traditional hours (evenings, weekends, holidays) when required
  • Willingness to reside in or relocate to the geographical vicinity of the assigned territory
  • Successful completion of employment testing and signing of Confidential Client’s protective covenants agreement (as applicable)
