Role summary

Confidential Client is hiring a Sales Consultant to manage an assigned territory in the Alpharetta/Cumming, GA area. This is an outside sales role focused on building and growing foodservice and restaurant accounts through consultative selling, product knowledge, and strong customer relationships. The role includes travel within the territory, account management, prospecting, and occasional non-traditional hours (evenings, weekends or holidays) to meet customer needs.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop new business and expand existing accounts to achieve profitable sales growth within your assigned territory
  • Qualify prospects and execute territory account plans aligned with company stratification goals
  • Learn customers’ operations and recommend product/service mixes that meet their business needs
  • Monitor market trends, product innovations and competitive activity; proactively advise customers
  • Provide product demonstrations and on-site training to customer personnel when needed
  • Drive a personal vehicle to customer locations, industry events and company meetings
  • Coordinate with internal teams (credit, operations, transportation) to resolve order/delivery issues
  • Manage receivables collection in coordination with credit teams and follow approved credit terms
  • Prepare sales quotes, menus or product suggestions and maintain accurate sales records and reports
  • Participate in sales meetings, promotions, customer events and ongoing training
  • Assist with onboarding and training of new sales team members as requested

What we’re looking for

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Hospitality, Culinary Arts or related field OR HSD/GED plus 3 years of restaurant management, B2B or outside sales experience (or equivalent), including completion of an approved sales internship
  • Required: Valid driver’s license and automobile insurance that meets insurability standards for the role
  • Preferred: Restaurant management, foodservice/outside sales, or chef experience; bilingual candidates encouraged to apply
  • Technical: Basic PC skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Core competencies: relationship-building, customer focus, follow-up, persuasive selling, adaptability and strong communication skills
  • Requirements: pass employment testing; willingness to sign Confidential Client’s standard protective covenants agreement; live in or be willing to relocate near the assigned territory

Compensation & Benefits (high level)

  • Estimated base pay: $51,816 per year (estimated)
