What You’ll Do

As a Sales and Operations Management Trainee you will rotate across sales, operations, customer service and fleet management to build a foundation for a management career. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Develop customer solutions for consumer and commercial accounts, including national and enterprise customers
  • Manage fleet inventory and vehicle assignments to maximize productivity, profitability and customer satisfaction
  • Generate new business leads and grow existing customer relationships through direct outreach and service excellence
  • Use company systems and technology to track metrics, maintain records and communicate with internal teams
  • Deliver high-quality service in a fast-paced environment and escalate/resolution issues as required
  • Participate in ongoing training, mentoring and development programs to accelerate readiness for management roles

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required (preferred concentration in Business, Marketing, or related field)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness/ability to drive company vehicles, including a 26’ box truck
  • Results-oriented with attention to detail and good time management skills
  • Ability to work the required schedule and maintain regular, predictable attendance
  • Ability to lift or move up to 25 lbs occasionally and perform routine physical tasks associated with fleet operations

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

  • Internship or customer-facing work experience preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to build client relationships and close sales or contracts
  • Basic familiarity with inventory/fleet tracking tools, CRM, or related technology
  • Comfortable working in a safety-sensitive, DOT-regulated environment

Regulatory, Safety & Hiring Requirements

This role requires driving company and customer vehicles and is regulated by the Department of Transportation (DOT). As part of employment, the trainee must maintain a driver qualification file which may include:

  • Annual Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) checks
  • A successfully completed DOT physical
  • Safety Performance History records request from prior employers (last 3 years)
  • For CDL holders: DOT drug screening within 30 days of start and review in the FMCSA Clearinghouse

Additional hiring steps include completion of the company application, background investigation (employment, education, criminal history as permitted by law), and pre-employment drug screening where applicable.
