Role Overview
Confidential Client is hiring an entry-level Sales and Operations Management Trainee in Crown Point, IN (9702 Georgia St). This role pays $25 per hour and provides structured training across sales, operations, finance, customer service and technology. You will learn to run a local business operation, support customer needs, and help manage fleet and inventory while progressing quickly into management roles across the client’s network.
What You’ll Do
- Develop tailored consumer and commercial customer solutions for local and national accounts, including large enterprise customers.
- Manage fleet and vehicle inventory to balance productivity, profitability and customer satisfaction.
- Generate new business leads and nurture existing client relationships.
- Ensure excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.
- Collaborate with a high-energy team and leverage the client’s sales processes and technology.
- Participate in ongoing training, mentoring and rotational experiences across departments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; preferred concentration in Business, Marketing or a related field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Internship or customer-facing work experience is preferred.
- Results-oriented, detail-focused, with good time-management skills.
- Valid driver’s license required and willingness to drive company vehicles, including 26' box trucks.
- Ability to maintain regular, predictable attendance.
- Willingness to travel within the district for customer visits and training as needed.
- Ability to pass background checks and drug screening as required.
Requirements & Compliance
This position requires driving company and customer vehicles and is regulated by the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT). The following elements are required and will be verified as part of onboarding and periodic compliance:
- Maintenance of a driver qualification file, including annual motor vehicle records (MVR) checks.
- Successful completion of a DOT physical exam where applicable.
- Safety Performance History records requests from prior employers for the previous three years.
- CDL holders may be subject to DOT drug screening within 30 days of hire and FMCSA Clearinghouse review.
- Completion of the client employment application and consent to background investigations (employment, education, criminal history) and drug screening.
Physical & Work Environment
- Typical job duties may require standing, walking and sitting.
- Frequent use of hands to handle and operate equipment; reaching with arms and hands.
- Occasional lifting or moving of up to 25 lbs (12 kg).
- Specific vision abilities required include close, distance, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
- This is a safety-sensitive role; associates must work in a constant state of alertness and accept responsibility for their own safety and the safety of others. Reasonable accommodations will be made as needed.
