Overview
Confidential Client is hiring an entry-level Sales and Operations Management Trainee in Crown Point, IN. This role combines sales, customer service and fleet/operations responsibilities and is a fast track into frontline management. The position includes hands-on training, mentoring, and exposure to sales processes, operations, finance and technology.
Pay: $25 per hour (as listed by the client).
What You’ll Do
Confidential Client expects a proactive, customer-focused trainee who will learn to run daily site operations and support sales growth. Typical responsibilities include:
- Develop solutions for consumer and commercial customers, including local and national accounts.
- Manage fleet inventory and balance productivity, profitability and customer satisfaction.
- Generate new business leads and nurture existing customer relationships.
- Deliver excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.
- Participate in ongoing training and mentoring across sales, operations, finance and technology.
- Travel within the district for customer yards, training sites and related duties as needed.
Qualifications
To be considered, applicants should meet the following:
- Bachelor’s degree required (preferred concentration in Business or Marketing).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Internship or customer-facing work experience preferred.
- Results orientation, attention to detail and strong time-management skills.
- Valid driver’s license required and willingness to operate company and customer vehicles, including 26' box trucks.
- Ability to meet and maintain DOT driver qualification requirements (see Regulatory & Safety section).
- Regular, predictable attendance required.
Regulatory & Safety Requirements
Because this role involves driving company and customer vehicles, candidates must be able to comply with Department of Transportation (DOT) and company safety rules:
- Maintain a current driver qualification file (annual MVR check, DOT physical where required).
- Provide Safety Performance History from prior employers (as required).
- CDL holders: DOT drug screening within 30 days and FMCSA Clearinghouse review where applicable.
- Complete background check (employment, education, criminal) and drug screening as required.
Physical Requirements

- Ability to stand, walk and sit as duties require.
- Frequent use of hands for handling and reaching.
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs (12 kg).
