Key Responsibilities

  • Generate new sales contacts through outreach and sales calls with guidance from Sales and Location leadership.
  • Build relationships with growers through in-person visits, cold calls, and territory canvassing to generate leads.
  • Support sales of agronomy products and services to meet assigned customer and territory goals.
  • Scout fields and assist a Sales Agronomist with recommendations and agronomic observations.
  • Provide timely, professional customer service — respond to questions and complaints and follow up to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Develop product knowledge and sales skills by attending training, product meetings, and cooperative events.
  • Adhere to all safety rules, vehicle and fleet policies, and applicable DOT/OSHA regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned to support territory growth and team success.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or Associate’s degree and 1–5 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
  • English proficiency.
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Able to perform physical tasks including bending, kneeling, lifting up to 50 lbs (and occasionally heavier items), climbing, crawling, and working in elevated or confined spaces, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in varied conditions (heat, cold, dust, noise) and to wear required PPE, including respirators when necessary.
  • Availability for overtime, weekends, holidays, or different shifts as business needs require.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Crop Advisor certification is a plus.
  • CDL is beneficial but not required.
  • Interest in a sales career path within agronomy and demonstrated interpersonal or customer-facing experience.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Estimated base salary: $65,879 per year (estimated).

Physical Demands

  • Regularly required to stand, walk, talk, hear, use hands, and reach.
  • Frequently required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Regular lifting/moving up to 10 lbs, frequent up to 50 lbs, and occasional heavier lifting as needed.
  • Specific vision abilities required: close and distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Reasonable accommodations will be considered to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.

Work Environment

  • Field- and customer-facing role with routine exposure to outdoor weather, fumes, dust, moving machinery, and loud noise.
  • May be exposed occasionally to wet/humid conditions, high places, chemicals, and temperature extremes.
  • Use of appropriate PPE is required; safety and compliance are priorities.
