What You’ll Do
This entry-level Sales Agronomist Associate role is a development position in agronomy sales focused on growing your skills and supporting territory sales growth. You will work with managers and experienced agronomists to build customer relationships, learn product knowledge, and contribute to revenue growth for the Confidential Client.
- Generate new sales contacts and leads through outbound sales calls and in-person outreach with guidance from the Sales Manager and Location Manager.
- Develop sales, service and product knowledge through training, product and cooperative meetings.
- Build confidence in cold calling and relationship-building to grow your assigned territory.
- Sell agronomy products and services (seed, crop protection, fertility, and related services) when appropriate to meet customer needs and management expectations.
- Scout fields and provide agronomy recommendations alongside a Sales Agronomist.
- Deliver excellent customer service — respond to requests and complaints, greet customers professionally, and maintain follow-up.
- Adhere to all safety policies, OSHA and DOT regulations, vehicle and fleet safety programs.
- Other duties as assigned to support team and territory goals.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree, Associate’s degree with 1–5 years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
- English proficiency.
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Ability to perform physical duties: bending, kneeling, lifting up to 50 lbs (frequently), and occasional heavier lifts; climbing, crawling, and working in elevated or confined spaces.
- Willingness to work in varied indoor/outdoor conditions (heat, cold, dust, noise) and to wear required PPE, including a respirator when needed.
- Ability to work overtime, including weekends or holidays, as required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Crop Advisor Certification is beneficial.
- Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is a plus.
- Interest in a sales career in agronomy and proven customer-facing skills or campus/field sales experience.

- Employment type: Full time.
- Estimated salary: $44,385 per year (estimated).
