Role Overview
Confidential Client is hiring a Safety Coordinator (Bilingual) to support their distribution/fulfillment operations in Secaucus, NJ. This is an hourly, entry-level safety position responsible for implementing and supporting the site safety program, conducting audits and investigations, training associates, and helping maintain regulatory compliance (OSHA and company policies). This role requires Spanish bilingual skills, strong communication, and the ability to work flexible shifts.
What You’ll Do
- Identify and report compliance issues, safety risks, and improvement opportunities via daily, weekly, and monthly audits.
- Lead and participate in incident investigations (including equipment, employee, and fleet incidents).
- Conduct Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) and risk assessments for tasks and new equipment; recommend mitigation measures including ergonomic solutions.
- Maintain required safety documentation and timely OSHA 300/300A entries.
- Perform safety observations, facility inspections, and document findings.
- Provide safety training and coaching to operations staff; deliver company-required safety training.
- Facilitate immediate aid and coordinate emergency response for associates, visitors, vendors, or guests.
- Track and report safety metrics to onsite management teams.
- Partner with security and operations teams to align on safety policies and enforcement.
About You
- Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Environmental Health, Ergonomics, or a related field required.
- 1+ year of progressively responsible experience in safety or environmental programs — ideally in manufacturing, distribution, or large-scale service operations.
- Bilingual in Spanish (verbal + written) — required.
- Working knowledge of OSHA regulations applicable to distribution/fulfillment operations.
- First Aid / AED / CPR certification required.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; experience maintaining confidentiality with personnel matters.
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs as required by role.
- Comfortable reviewing security footage and documenting incidents; proficient with Google Suite. Experience with Google Sheets, Looker, and Jira preferred.
- Calm under pressure, detail-oriented, able to act with urgency and good judgment.
- Distribution center or manufacturing safety experience at sites with 500+ non-exempt employees is a plus.
- OSHA Outreach Instructor (OSHA 30/10) is a plus.

Location & Schedule
- Location: Secaucus, NJ (Hudson County). This role supports an on-site distribution/fulfillment center and requires presence at the facility; flexibility to work different shifts is required as safety incidents can occur at any time.
