Role overview
Confidential Client is seeking a motivated, safety-focused Safety Coordinator to join their Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) team in Allen, TX. This is an entry-level, contract-to-hire position (hybrid) ideal for recent graduates or professionals with 0–3 years of safety-related experience who want hands-on exposure to industrial safety, environmental compliance, and energy infrastructure operations.
What you’ll do
As a Safety Coordinator, you will support the HSE team to implement safety programs and help maintain regulatory compliance across office and field operations.
- Support implementation of HSE programs, policies, and procedures
- Assist with OSHA-related compliance and recordkeeping
- Participate in safety audits, inspections, and incident investigations
- Help coordinate safety training (OSHA 10/30, site-specific orientations)
- Track corrective actions and follow up with operations and contractors
- Maintain safety documentation and generate HSE reports
- Support environmental compliance initiatives and permit tracking
- Attend site visits and collaborate with technical teams to identify hazards
Who we’re looking for (minimum qualifications)
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, Industrial Technology, Construction Management, or a related field
- 0–3 years of safety experience; internships, co-ops, military, construction, manufacturing, oil & gas, utility, or industrial safety experience is a plus
- Basic understanding of OSHA regulations and workplace safety principles
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Clear written and verbal communication skills; ability to engage with employees, contractors, and management
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Willingness to travel to operational and project sites as needed
- Experience or exposure to safety training, audits, EHS systems, or incident investigation helpful
Preferred / Nice-to-have
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Experience supporting environmental health or permit compliance
- Experience working in industrial or energy infrastructure environments
- Familiarity with safety management systems and audit processes
Compensation & benefits
- Pay range: $30.00 – $40.00 per hour (Contract-to-hire). Individual pay within this range will depend on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors.
