Role overview

Confidential Client is seeking a motivated, safety-focused Safety Coordinator to join their Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) team in Allen, TX. This is an entry-level, contract-to-hire position (hybrid) ideal for recent graduates or professionals with 0–3 years of safety-related experience who want hands-on exposure to industrial safety, environmental compliance, and energy infrastructure operations.

What you’ll do

As a Safety Coordinator, you will support the HSE team to implement safety programs and help maintain regulatory compliance across office and field operations.

• Support implementation of HSE programs, policies, and procedures
• Assist with OSHA-related compliance and recordkeeping
• Participate in safety audits, inspections, and incident investigations
• Help coordinate safety training (OSHA 10/30, site-specific orientations)
• Track corrective actions and follow up with operations and contractors
• Maintain safety documentation and generate HSE reports
• Support environmental compliance initiatives and permit tracking
• Attend site visits and collaborate with technical teams to identify hazards

Who we’re looking for (minimum qualifications)

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, Industrial Technology, Construction Management, or a related field
• 0–3 years of safety experience; internships, co-ops, military, construction, manufacturing, oil & gas, utility, or industrial safety experience is a plus
• Basic understanding of OSHA regulations and workplace safety principles
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Clear written and verbal communication skills; ability to engage with employees, contractors, and management
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Willingness to travel to operational and project sites as needed
• Experience or exposure to safety training, audits, EHS systems, or incident investigation helpful

Preferred / Nice-to-have

• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Experience supporting environmental health or permit compliance
• Experience working in industrial or energy infrastructure environments
• Familiarity with safety management systems and audit processes

Compensation & benefits

• Pay range: $30.00 – $40.00 per hour (Contract-to-hire). Individual pay within this range will depend on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors.
