Position Overview
Confidential Client is hiring an entry-level Rotational Engineer (Survey / Engineering / Technology) as part of a structured rotational program based in the Greater Houston area. This paid, full-time program rotates participants through engineering, survey, and technology assignments (up to ~4 months per rotation) to develop technical skills, business acumen, and leadership potential. Successful participants will transition to a permanent Engineer I or Surveyor I role after program completion.
- Location: Houston / Spring, TX (rotations across the United States; relocation to Spring, TX required by July 2026)

- Estimated pay (as listed): $130,970 per year (estimated)
What You Will Do
Under the supervision of experienced engineers and technical managers, you will:
- Rotate through three core areas: Engineering, Survey, and Technology (up to ~4 months per rotation)
- Work on practical, cross-functional assignments that contribute to real business outcomes
- Participate in action-learning projects that develop technical and leadership skills
- Receive midpoint and end-of-rotation evaluations and targeted feedback
- Support engineering and survey teams with analyses, reporting, and technical tasks
- Learn and apply policies, methods, and procedures relevant to class operations

Qualifications
To be considered, applicants must meet the minimum requirements below:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Industrial, Materials Science) or maritime-related field (Ocean Engineering, Naval Architecture)
- Recent graduate (less than one year of professional industry experience)
- Overall GPA of 2.75+ (3.0 preferred)
- Current authorization to work in the U.S. or permanent resident status
- Willingness and ability to relocate to Spring, Texas (Greater Houston Area) for employment by July 2026
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to interface with customers
- Demonstrated leadership potential and self-starter mentality
- Ability to adapt in a dynamic environment and manage multiple tasks with attention to detail
- Prior internship experience in maritime or related industry is strongly preferred
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Basic engineering fundamentals and familiarity with technical disciplines relevant to the role
- Proficiency or coursework experience with Python and AutoCAD (or similar tools)
- Strong problem-solving skills: identify issues, analyze root causes, propose solutions
- Good written and verbal English communication
- Ability to work effectively in teams and with subject-matter experts
- Willingness to learn health, safety, quality, and environmental management systems
Reporting Relationships & Program Notes
- You will report to a senior-level engineer or technical manager during the rotations.
- This role has no direct reports.
